Dr. York is a life-long learner, attentive and a reflective person who has been well informed and educated from life experiences. He has developed a profound comprehension and appreciation for the value of life to be lived within any state. One of Dr. York's core beliefs involve learning opportunities for growth and development by making new meaning of experiences that appear to be difficult or negative.

Dr. York has lived through many experiences and has witnessed the power of post-traumatic growth to create mental toughness/strength and better preparation for life. He has a particular philosophy of life that has been taught to him and personally developed through his 40+ years of studying various Chinese and Japanese martial arts.

"There is always a "choice" in every life challenge and always a "new gift" to be received in the end as your perspective changes" ― Dr. Oxford York, PhD
